Lucy Ragg – 21st June

A lovely experience! The procedure was very efficient. Marina was great and made sure that everything was clear about the treatment and that I knew what to expect. Everyone I spoke to throughout the experience was so kind and friendly. No problems whatsoever!

Deborah L – 18th June

Every single time I visit the clinic, I find the service to be so welcoming and re-assuring. The level of care and understanding of my needs is incredible. The results are, of course, always remarkable. Love it here!

Sheeren Jameel – 17th June

The service I had received was excellent. I felt very comfortable with Cheri and understood the process of my treatment. I am looking forwards to seeing the results I would highly recommend this service

Sara Chowl – 16th June

Absolutely delighted with the results of my Botox and Fillers. Dr Caroline really made me feel comfortable with the whole procedure, there were no surprises, when it came to pricing, was all explained as we went along. Will definitely be returning. This was my first time of getting anything like this done and I was really happy that Dr Caroline was clearly very experienced and knowledgable and also very friendly. Thankyou for making my face look happy again.

James Goorning – 13th June

Everything was explained fully to us. Marina was very professional and kind. It was also spotlessly clean. Only one niggle your pricing structure was not told to us beforehand . I think it should have been.

Asad Nacquis – 7th June

Very friendly and great service. I had 4 sessions, and every time I was seen on time, in a very clean environment. The service was top notch, including re-arranging appointments at short notice. This was due to the distance I need to travel from Welwyn Garden City. Highly recommended.

Esme Westcott – 7th June

I’ve just completed a course of 6 sessions of laser hair removal with Marina, who has been super. She is knowledgeable and very quickly allayed any concerns I had. The atmosphere at the clinic is always friendly, and it’s sparkly clean without feeling cold and clinical. I can recommend BeauSynergy and Marina, unreservedly.

Your Questions Answered

How many sessions are required for mole removal?

Laser removal can be used on moles that are difficult to reach. A typical two or three sessions are required to fully remove a mole

Can moles be removed on the NHS

Most moles are harmless. Harmless moles are not usually treated on the NHS. You can pay a private clinic to remove a mole, but it may be expensive. A GP can give you advice about where to get treatment

How long does redness last after mole removal?

Approximately 2–4 weeks after mole removal, as healing tissue begins to build up, the affected area may look rough and red and feel stiff. Although the wound area could be a little raised and red for 1–2 months, the scar typically becomes less red and flatter over time.

Where can I have this treatment done?

You can have the soft hair removal from your face in the Brookmans Park clinic in Hatfield, Hertfordshire and then take the products home to use during the month. This will give the best results.

If you are coming from the surrounding areas of London and Hertfordshire, for example Barnet, Finchley, Potters Bar, Welwyn, Cuffley, Hertford, St Albans, Harpenden etc then please call us for directions and to discuss appointment times for your potential skin patch test.

Do moles get bigger with age?

Moles may change over time. They may get bigger, grow a hair, become more raised, get lighter in color, or fade away. Many people develop new moles until about age 40. Most of these are normal changes

Can I wear makeup after mole removal?

After the Procedure:

When finished with the procedure, there will be a slightly “raw” area left. The area is covered with an antibiotic ointment twice a day for the next week. During that time, the skin in the area will heal over the site and become pink. Women are able to put makeup over the area after one week.

Can a mole grow back?

If a common mole is removed completely, it should not grow back. However, some residents may experience the regrowth of a mole if some of the mole cells were left behind after the mole removal procedure. But a mole that grows back does not mean it is cancerous.

How long does mole removal take?

A mole removal process can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size and depth of the mole.

Should I remove mole on face?

Most moles are harmless and nothing to worry about. Unless a mole is cancerous, you don’t need to have it removed unless it bothers you. But if you don’t like the way it affects your appearance, or if it’s getting irritated from rubbing against your clothes, removing the mole is still an option.

How long does it take for a mole removal scar to heal?
In general, expect a mole removal scar to take at least two to three weeks to heal. Some methods to reduce scarring should be started once the wound is healed. But initial care for the wound is essential for preventing infection and giving you the best chance at minimal scarring
Is mole removal painful?
Thanks to the anesthetic, you shouldn’t feel pain or sharpness during the procedure—if you do, let your doctor know. The procedure itself can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour depending on the size of the mole and the depth to which your doctor needs to cut, Dr.
Do moles grow back after removal?
If a mole has been removed completely then it will not grow back. After a surgical excision, the tissue will be checked in the lab to ensure that the whole mole has been removed. As long as there is a border of normal tissue all around the mole, there shouldn’t be any cells left behind.
How long should a mole bleed after removal?
While bleeding after the procedure is normal, excessive bleeding is not. If the bleeding lasts for more than 20 minutes and doesn’t stop with clean gauze and slight pressure, you should call your dermatologist.
Can I take ibuprofen after mole removal?

Don’t take aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil®) or naproxen (Aleve®), unless your healthcare provider says you can. These medications make it harder for your blood to clot, which may increase bleeding

What does skin look like after mole removal?
Approximately 2–4 weeks after mole removal, as healing tissue begins to build up, the affected area may look rough and red and feel stiff. Although the wound area could be a little raised and red for 1–2 months, the scar typically becomes less red and flatter over time
Can I wash my face after mole removal?
After the first 24 hours, you can wash normally with a mild face wash and apply a Vaseline to keep the area moist for a few days. Working out should be avoided for the first 24-hours.
Can I drink alcohol after mole removal?
Many people go back to work after their procedure. Avoid alcohol and ideally caffeine for 24 hours after surgery. Avoid vigorous exercise for 1 week after surgery. Avoid taking Aspirin or Ibuprofen on the same day to reduce your risk of bruising or bleeding.
What is normal after mole removal?
Recovery. You may notice some mild tenderness in the treated area for the first 1-4 days after your mole removal. This is normal and typically subsides as the skin begins to heal. You should plan to keep the treatment site clean and covered with a bandage for 1-2 days to protect the area.
Does mole removal require stitches?
Stitches are placed depending on the depth of the mole. They may be placed deeper, where they are absorbed by the body and do not have to be removed. Stitches also may be placed on the surface of the skin. Surface stitches may need to be removed later.
What will it look like afterwards?
Immediately afterwards, the mole will be gone and a small red mark will be where the mole was before. This is covered up with some ointment and a small dressing which can be removed the next morning. The red mark then forms a scab over the following few days before dropping off to leave a smooth red piece of new skin.
Which type of moles can be treated with laser?
Some moles are less appropriate for removal by laser; for example flat moles or highly pigmented/dark moles. Moles which are raised from the skin surface are more likely to benefit from the treatment. If after examining the mole the doctor thinks that it would be safer to obtain a biopsy e.g. if the mole has recently changed in size or colour, we would advise the traditional surgical method of removal so that the sample can be sent away. Using a laser means that the mole is effectively ‘vaporised’ and there is nothing which remains to send for analysis.
Are the lasers safe?
Class 4 medical grade lasers are the most advanced technology available for the removal of skin cells. Small and powerful medical lasers have been widely used since the 1980’s following a long period of research and development. They are considered completely safe for use in a medical setting and are incredibly effective for the removal of moles and other skin lesions. The only main safety requirement is that the patient wears the goggles which we provide, to protect their eyes from the laser.
Who is mole removal for?
Mole removal is requested by both men and women who are concerned about one or more moles on their body or face. Protruding moles for example can become irritated if constantly rubbed by clothes or caught when shaving. Many patients also request mole removal for cosmetic reasons if the removal will enhance their appearance. We have successfully treated many patients and can safely remove moles and blemishes from anywhere on the body or face.
